Why We Love It
This small backpack has several anti-theft features including a slash-resistant lining and locking zipper clasps.
Traveling often throws people into unfamiliar situations, so many opt for anti-theft bags that offer more protection against thieves than standard bags. This one from Arden Cove has a slash-resistant lining that stood up well to our lab test — while some marks were left on the exterior layers from a box cutter, the interior lining (and the bag's contents) stayed untouched. This backpack also has a few other smart anti-theft features, including RFID-blocking pockets and a waterproof zipper lining, which takes a bit of effort to open and works as a bonus to further deter thieves. The zipper clasps can be used to wrap the backpack around a chair or table while out, although we would recommend purchasing the locking hardware (as opposed to the classic hardware we tested) for an easier and more secure setup in these situations. The bag itself is well-made, comfortable to wear, and can be converted into a crossbody bag for added convenience.
