As a huge fan of Korean skincare brands, I'm always curious to try new items. While browsing a CVS in Huston for a DIY spa night, Carmen was surprised to see a number of Korean masks in stock. She picked up a few to do a comprehensive review and gave me this one to try at home!
After a long day in heavy makeup for a photo & video shoot for Arden Cove, I felt it was the perfect time to put this 5 Step Travel Kit from Jinju to the test.
What is contains:
- Cleansing Oil
- Foaming Face Wash
- Toner
- Avocado Face Mask
- Hydrating Cream
JiinJu: 5 Step Travel Kit $6.99
While pricer than the other face mask options in the drugstore, the JinJu 5 Step Travel Kit provides an entire skincare routine in a convenient and adorable package.
1 & 2 Double Cleanse
The two step cleansing was definitely enough to remove all my makeup. Each package contained enough for my needs. The only thing I struggled with was the glue residue from my falsies - something I always struggle with and lack the patience to deal with. Looking back, I do think a q-tip with the cleansing oil would have done the trick.
After cleansing, my skin felt very clean and bright, but as a dry skin girl I was ready for the next hydrating steps!
3, 4, & 5 Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!
While listed as a tone, step 3 felt like it functions more like a hydrating serum. It was light and slightly tacky but made my skin feel soft and bouncy.
The Avocado sheet mask was loaded with plenty of serum and I left it on for the full 20 minutes for the full effects. It left me feeling relaxed and hydrated.
Finally, the last step was cream - it was lightweight and soothing, leaving my skin feeling plump and smooth.
Conclusion
Overall, I really enjoyed using this face mask kit. Have you tried it? Let me know what you think in the comments below!
