Carry-on Only Packing for a Short Trip to Seattle

Carry-on only travel seems to be the most feasible with a short 2-4 day trip, but once you start packing, all your stuff can quickly add up! Here's everything that I brought with me for a recent trip to Seattle, where I only brought 1 backpack and 1 purse.

The Bags:

Arden Cove Daily Laptop Backpack

- The backpack will serve as the general carry all to fit in larger items and clothing. It should have all the items needed for TSA at the top/ easily accessible, like liquids in at bag at the top, and a laptop in an accessible laptop sleeve.

Arden Cove Anti-theft Waterproof Crossbody in Full size, Black with Faux leather strap

- This crossbody is great for everyday use once you reach your destination. At the airport, separate and store all your important documents, electronics, and passport/ID in this bag with its convenient, RFID-blocking built in wallet and wall pockets. Make sure you have all the airplane items (eye mask, headphones, ear plugs) in this bag so you can chuck the backpack overhead and stow this bag under the seat.

Divide and Conquer

In the backpack:

In the crossbody:

  • Phone
  • Camera
  • Money, Cards, Keys
  • Sunglasses
  • Lipbalm / lipstick
  • Handcream
  • Hair ties/ twists
  • Eyedrops
  • Gum/ mint
  • Earphones
  • Tissue pack
